The Morris County St. Patrick's Day Parade is a beloved tradition for locals, with its roots tracing back to the winter of 1779-1780 in Jockey Hollow, Morristown. Completely self-funded, the parade relies solely on generous donations from businesses and individual sponsors, ensuring no taxpayer money is used for the event.
For more than three decades, parade organizers have proudly provided a safe, fun-filled day for Morris County residents and their families to enjoy in Morristown at no cost, and they plan to continue this tradition for years to come.
The parade has a strict non-alcohol policy for all participants. It is held "rain or shine," unless severe weather conditions make it unsafe.
