Your Morris County Guide To July 4 Fireworks, Parades In 2024
We rounded up local parades, festivals, community picnics, and other events for Independence Day.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Fireworks, parades, and other festivities have begun in Morris County for the 4th of July, celebrating when the Declaration of Independence was signed almost 250 years ago.
The patriotic pyrotechnics began in the last week of June, with fireworks over Lake Hopatcong and Mountain Lake, at the annual Chester Fireman's Carnival, and in Montville and Morris Plains.
We rounded up local parades, festivals, community picnics, and other events for Independence Day, and there's even a traditional reading of the Declaration of Independence in Morristown on Thursday.
