
This week in Newark, Harlen Coben, the best-selling author of thrillers including LIve Wire and Hold Tight, will speak at the Newark Public Library’s fundraiser, “Booked for the Evening,” Thursday, Oct. 17 at the historic Main Library at 5 Washington Street. The event is chaired by Preston Pinkett, III, President and CEO of Newark-based City National Bank.

Also this week, the voters of New Jersey select a new United States Senator. Mayor Cory Booker will seek to win the seat for the Democratic Party against former Bogota mayor Steve Lonegan, a Republican. The election is this Wednesday, Oct. 16.
