Affectionate 'Chief' Needs a Good Home

Patch's Pet of the Week

Written by the Associated Humane Societies of Newark

This is Chief, a beautiful, one-year old pittie. Chief was surrendered to AHS by his owner this October. A tall and elegant-looking dog, Chief is house-trained and obviously had lots of human contact and socialization. He is affectionate, sweet and loves to be cuddled.  He has a wonderful disposition, is gentle, very people-focused and gets along fine with other dogs.  Give Chief a ball to run after in the yard and he will be the happiest dog ever!  According to our assessor, he was gentle with treats and had a fine food test. Chief is very young, trainable and will make a great family dog—pay him a visit and find out for yourself! His ID number is 120575.

Chief is available at Associated Humane Societies in Newark, 124 Evergreen Ave. The shelter’s phone number is 973-824-7080, and adoption hours are Monday-Friday, 12 to 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday, 12- 5:00pm. Visit their website at www.ahscares.org, or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AssociatedHumaneSocieties.
