An Art Exhibit Debuts and Line Dancing Night at Symphony Hall

What's going on in Newark Friday, Oct. 11

On Friday, Oct. 11, line dancing comes to Newark Symphony Hall, 1030 Broad St., with lessons beginning at 5 pm. Attendees are asked not to bring packaged goods; there will be drink specials available. The DJ for the evening will be Kenny J.

Tickets are $5, $3 for those who qualify for the senior discount. Tickets can be purchased at Newark Symphony Hall.

Friday also marks the premiere of the Ironbound Unbound#4 Art Exhibition, which will be held at 56 Prospect St. (near Ferry St.) at 5:30 pm.


The opening reception for the month-long exhibit featuring artists from the Ironbound and elsewhere in New Jersey, showing their work side by side with artists from Sweden, Taiwan, South Korea, Venezuela, and Cuba. Special guest curator Sven Einarsson of the Husby Konsthalle, Stockholm, will be on hand presenting the latest works of our Swedish exchange program artists.
