Anheuser-Busch Donates $65K to Habitat for Humanity
Other Newark businesses being asked to take part in Habitat's 'corporate challenge'

Anheuser-Busch, which had a brewery in Newark since 1951, has donated $65,000 to Habitat for Humanity’s first-annual Corporate Challenge.
Anheuser-Busch will also recruit employees to work alongside a partner family to build a home in the Ironbound. Families who receive Habitat for Humanity homes also help build them, along with volunteers.
“This one generous donation will be remembered by a hard-working family in Newark for the rest of their lives,” said Jeff Farrell, executive director, Habitat for Humanity, Newark. “Anheuser-Busch’s generosity is also having an incredible ripple effect through the business community in Essex County, which is increasing its donations to Habitat for Humanity at an aggressive time in our history, when we need these resources to help so many hard-working families live in safe, affordable homes.”
“We’ve been a proud member of the Newark community since 1951 and have partnered with many local organizations who make a positive impact for our area and neighbors,” said Tiago Darocha, general manager of the Anheuser-Busch Newark brewery.
