Avery the Pug Needs a Home

This is Avery, our pet of the week. Avery is a 3 year-old male Pug mix that was found as a stray and brought in to Associated Humane Societies’ (AHS) shelter in Newark.  He’s a little guy with a lot of self-confidence and energy.  Avery seems used to being handled and is sweet and affectionate.  He shares a kennel with another dog and is fine with the passing dogs outside the kennel and on his walk. He LOVES food, it’s a main interest of his.  He takes treats quickly from the hand, and does not like to be disturbed while eating—so he would be best in a family without small children.
