City Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run

A 57-year-old city woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Bloomfield Avenue Tuesday night, according to a published report.

Betty Scriven was near Park Avenue and Crittenden Street when she was struck about 9:15 pm, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Officials believe the car involved was a four-door silver Dodge Neon that continued west on Bloomfield Avenue.
