
Essex County College (ECC) will host an open house for prospective students on Thursday, Oct. 31, 4 to 6 p.m. on its main campus at 303 University Ave.
Prospective students who attend the open house will have their $25 application fee waived. If qualified, they will receive instant admission and express registration services. Transfer students will receive credits-earned evaluation. Information on financial aid, transfer options, credit and non-credit programs will also be available.
Spring semester classes begin on Jan. 13, 2014, and Spring II starts Jan. 31. The Weekend College courses begin Jan. 17, 2014. Winter Intersession classes will start Dec.26.

Essex County College offers a wide range of associate degree programs in the arts (A.A.), sciences (A. S.) and applied sciences (A.A.S.), academic certificate programs, and certificates of completion. ECC also offers English as a Second Language (ESL) and adult literacy classes, customized job training, and numerous programs for professional development and personal enrichment. In addition, ECC has a multitude of support services, cooperative education internships, career planning, and a child care center.
