Free Breast Cancer Screening and Mayoral Candidates to Talk Education

The Rutgers School of Nursing and the College of Nursing Thursday will be conducting free clinical breast exams to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The screenings will be held from 11 am to 2 pm at the Rutgers FOCUS Wellness Center, 449 Broad St.

Also Thursday, a mayoral candidates forum will be held at Science Park High School on Norfolk Street beginning at 6 pm. The focus of the forum will be educational issues. The four declared candidates for mayor next year -- Ras Baraka, Shavar Jeffries, Anibal Ramos and Darrin Sharif -- are all expected to participate.
