Kody the Rottweiler Needs a Home

Patch's Pet of the Week

Submitted by the Associated Humane Societies

Meet Kody, Newark Patch’s Pet of the Week. Kody is a gorgeous, happy, well-socialized 10 month-old male Rottweiler puppy. Kody was surrendered to Associated Humane Societies’ (AHS) Newark shelter by an owner that could no longer afford him. He is great with people lavishing him with love and attention, and knows some basic commands such as ‘sit’ and ‘paw.’

He is wonderful on the leash, and has a playful personality that calms nicely. Kody loves to play with toys and does so in a gentle and non-destructive manner. He takes everything from you with a gentle mouth and shares very nicely. He has no issues sharing his food and the rawhide. Kody is just an all-around great puppy—but still a puppy, so dogs his size are fine, but exercise caution around smaller dogs, as he doesn’t know his size! Kody has classic Rottweiler looks, and needs an active family that likes to play and go for walks.
