
A fire at an apartment building early Wednesday killed one man and sent another to the hospital with burns, NJ.com reported.
The fire broke out in the basement of the Evelyn Arms on Lake Street at 5:24 am and was brought under control in about 20 minutes, Capt. John Brown of the Newark Fire Department told NJ.com.
The two victims were brothers who lived together in an apartment, a neighbor told NJ.com.

The victims names had not been released pending notification of next of kin, Brown also said.
