Newark Authorities Offer Reward In Deadly Hit-And-Run

Police said the victim, a 55-year-old man, died after being struck by a car while riding a bicycle.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities in Newark this week are offering a $5,000 reward for information about a recent hit-and-run crash that left a man dead on Nov. 6.

In a news release, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens said the victim, 55-year-old Kenneth Felton, was riding a bicycle on Madison Avenue between South 11th Street and South 12th Street when he was struck.

The driver fled the scene, and Felton died en route to the hospital.
