Newark Female Entrepreneurs To Share Skills With Local Youth At Free Workshop

From the YES Conference: Young Enterprising Sisters and the Education Trio program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology are joining together to host an Entrepreneur and Economic conference to educate girls in entrepreneurship, economic literacy and business skills.

On June 10, 2017 girls ages 8-17 years old from the tri-state area will gather at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey to learn from seasoned women entrepreneurs on how to explore, develop and expand a business as well as learn strategies to build wealth.

This year’s conference will recognize and honor 14-year-old New Jersey native, Author and Entrepreneur Essynce Moore as “Girl Entrepreneur of the Year”

“We are committed to exposing girls to opportunities and women that can show them anything is possible,” said Fatima Scipio, Young Enterprising Sisters, President and CEO. "This conference is designed to have girls not only learn from seasoned women entrepreneurs but from their peers who have started their own business and are doing exceptionally well in academics."

Guest speakers for this monumental event include 16-year-old Tyyan Williams, Owner of Pinky Sez, 17-year-old Eden Duncan Smith, Actress and Activist, Chental-Song Bembry, CEO of the Honey Bunch kids, 16-year-old celebrity DJ Beauty and the Beatz and many more notable entrepreneurs and women leaders from the Tri-State Area.

Young Enterprising Sisters (YES) is nonprofit initiative for girls worldwide that aims to educate, empower and energize the next generation of women entrepreneurs and business leaders. YES, promotes economic empowerment programs, financial literacy and encourages girls to create jobs for future generations.
