Newark Hosting Halloween Events in Every Ward
What's going on in Newark Thursday, Oct. 31

In 2011 Halloween was “cancelled” due to an unseasonal snow storm. Last year, an unwelcome visitor named Sandy took the fun out of one of the kids' favorite holidays. But the forecast is favorable for some spooky shenanigans this year, and the city of Newark is joining in.
The city council is hosting a total of five Halloween parades and other events, one for every ward in the city, per the following schedule:
· Council President Luis Quintana’s parade will commence at 3 p.m. at the corner of Elwood and Mount Prospect Avenues, and proceed to the Flamboyan Manor at 147 Verona Avenue in the North Ward. The party will be held at the Manor until 6 p.m. Participants will enjoy candy, gifts, refreshments, entertainment, and music. The party is sponsored by Newark Three Kings, Inc., and the City of Newark.
