NEWARK, NJ— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
Mom is a single mom who adopted eight children and lost all her biological children. She still manages to keep us safe. Now I’m graduating from high school with honors and have been accepted to eight colleges because of her and her love for us 🥲 My mom is one of a kind. We are so BLESSED ❤️
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She never gives up and she keeps fighting until the end. That’s why we are all here today.
