NJ Transit Train Strikes Person Near Newark Airport, Delays For Multiple Lines

Rail service is subject to 30-minute delays through Penn Station New York due to a "trespasser strike," authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A train struck a person near Newark Airport on Wednesday morning, causing delays for several NJ Transit train lines, authorities say.

According to NJ Transit, rail service is subject to 30-minute delays into and out of Penn Station New York due to a “trespasser strike.”

The delays were impacting several lines as of 8:30 a.m., including Main-Bergen County, Montclair-Boonton, Morris & Essex, Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Pascack Valley and Raritan Valley.
