A year ago today, Tuesday, Oct. 29, Superstorm Sandy struck in Newarjk and throughout the region, leaving chaos and destruction in its wake. The storm also claimed several lives, including city residents.
The Ironbound Community Corp will be hosting “Ironbound Remembers the Storm: One Year After Hurricane Sandy,” when residents and others will share their experiences. There will also be photos, maps and children’s artwork, as well as tips on emergency preparedness.
The event will be held at 6:30 pm at St. James Church, 143 Madison St.
