Two Men Fatally Shot in Newark Monday

Two city men have died from their wounds after being shot Monday night, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office told NJ.com.

Rashid Howard and Rajohn McClain, both 22, were shot shortly after 9 pm near Madison and Ridgewood avenues. Howard was pronounced dead at University Hospital shortly after the attack and McClain succumbed early Tuesday morning, a prosecutor’s office spokesman told NJ.com.

Officials were still trying to determine Tuesday whether the victims were intentionally targeted.
