University Hospital Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Event

University Hospital in Newark hosted its second-annual Breast Health Awareness Conference earlier this month. More than 150 guests, including women and men, attended the free event, which was held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The conference focused on breast health awareness and education, and included presentations on “The Role of Mammography in Screening and Detection,” “Surgical Options in Breast Care,” “Advances in Breast Reconstruction,” and “Medical Oncology—Skilled Physicians Guide Your Care.”

Guests connected with physicians, health educators, medical professionals and advocates, and learned about new discoveries in breast cancer detection, care and treatment.
