Authorities Still Looking For Bergenfield Murder Suspect

Police are still looking for Jose D. Perez Vasquez. He was charged with murder in Uvaldo de Gabriel Aguilar's death, authorities said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Authorities are still looking for a man charged with murder and asking anyone who knows where he is to contact them.

Jose D. Perez Vasquez, 50, was charged with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.

Authorities charged Vasquez as the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Bergenfield Police Department, Calo said.

Uvaldo de Gabriel Aguilar, 43, was found after the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information from the Bergenfield Police Department that a man suffering from a stab wound was found near Portland Avenue, Calo said.

The homicide occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m.; Aguilar died at 3:05 a.m. at the hospital.
