BergenPac Offers New Fall Programs
beyondEDUCATION at bergenPAC showcases its new schedule of Fall programs.

BergenPac's Education Director, , is excited about the fall programs being offered through beyondEducation.
"We have new classes being offered, New York City teaching artists and great new shows that enrolled students will be able to attend, as well as do master classes with," Diaz said.
The 2012 Fall Session begins Sept. 10 and runs through Dec. 2.

Here are the courses being offered this Fall:
Music Speaks: An early childhood music program that provides developmentally appropriate music for infants, toddlers, and pre-school children, ages 0 through 4 1/2 years old. This program uses a mix of traditional and contemporary songs with a world beat designed to bring out the innate musical nature of young children.

Each 45 minute class is designed to introduce musically driven activities such as chants, finger plays, and small and large movements using a variety of age appropriate musical instruments.
Through live music, parents interact with their children in sessions designed to expand creativity, help parents and children to bond through music, and tap into the proven cognitive development gained by introducing children to music at a young age.
Families enrolled in this class will receive a new CD, Music Speaks Volume II, produced by bergenPac that includes the talents of Kelli Agresta (Broadway vocalist), Wendy Bain (bergenPac program director), Alexander Diaz (Director of Education at bergenPAC), and musicians from New Jersey based bands including Bon Jovi and Southside Johnny who all volunteered their time to the create songs that appear on the CD.
There will be a free demonstration class Friday, Sept. 7 at 10am.
New School Partnerships: feature aspects of beyondEDUCATION developed to complement any curriculum and meet the individual needs of participating schools. Initiatives include artists-in-residency, live performances, and the student directed one-act plays for advanced theater students culminating in a multi-disciplinary performing arts curriculum that will advance student achievement and promote 21st century job success.
beyondDANCE: New Jersey 's premiere school for creative movement, offers classes in a myriad of disciplines for all children. World class teachers from Broadway, Alvin Ailey, ABT (American Ballet Theater) as well as dancers and choreographers from current music videos teach students in classes ranging from hip-hop to ballet, tap to jazz, modern to ethnic and much more.
beyondTHEATER: bergenPAC’s regional theater school offers classes in the dramatic arts and musical theater as well as college and audition preparation for aspiring actors. Study acting, improvisation, vocal and audition technique with industry professionals. Students can also audition for our Theatrical Production Program for a chance to perform at bergenPAC.
beyondSTAGE: A series of Master Classes and Artist Talks that correspond with performances at bergenPAC. Students interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts can also participate in a Technical Shadowing and Internship program for school credit.
