New Jersey State Police have released their Uniform Crime Report for the first two quarters of 2014. According to their reports, New Milford's overall crime index fell from 40 to 37 in the last year, a 7 percent decrease.New Milford saw one incident of violent crime between January and June of 2013, and again one such incident in the same period of 2014. New Milford Police reported 39 nonviolent crimes in the first half of both 2013, and 36 such crimes in the same period of 2014, an 8 percent decrease.For more statistics, go to the <a href="http://www.njsp.org/info/ucr_currentdata1.html?agree=0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety</a>.
