The event will include eye health, foot, blood pressure and glucose screenings; fitness and BMI assessments; and other types of testing, all free of charge. Professionals will be available to discuss nutrition, weight loss, diabetic medications and supplies, physical activity, behavior change, complications, and signs and symptoms for those at risk. An educational seminar on Healthy Eating for Diabetics will be presented by Valley Hospital at 11:00am. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask the experts if you have a particular concern. Attendees will enjoy giveaways, cooking demonstrations and refreshments from vendors and local retailers such as Trader Joe’s and Rite Aid. Admission is free. The fair will be held from 9:00am to 12:30pm at the Ridgewood YMCA, 112 Oak St., Ridgewood, NJ.
