Greater Bergen County YMCA Gearing Up for a Fun-Filled Summer
Registration kicks off for 2023 day and sleepaway camps

NEW MILFORD, NJ - The Greater Bergen County YMCA - New Milford Center is making plans for the summer and gearing up for summer adventures that will keep kids active, engaged and healthy all summer long.
Registration opened for 2023 summer camps on Tuesday, Nov. 15 to 2022 returning camp families, and will be followed by registration for the community on Nov. 29. Families can take advantage of Early Bird reduced rates for camp from Nov.15 - Jan.16.
The Y will run six developmentally appropriate camp programs for children starting at kindergarten age in 2023, building self-esteem, confidence and social skills in a fun, safe and enriching environment:

Day Camps held at 1092 Carnation Dr., New Milford:
- Sports Galore Camp - Half-day camp for ages 6-10 with wrap-around option that brings the best parts of summer together - being outside, playing games, and having fun with friends
- Summer’s Fun Camp - Full-day camp packed for Grades K-5 with creative play, sports and activities

- Kahagon Day Camp - Full-day day camp for Grades K-1 packed with nature activities, sports and games, arts & crafts, and swim lessons.
- Oratam Day Camp - Full-day day camp for Grades 2-7 with swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, archery, arts and crafts, campouts, and more.
- TeenVenture Day Camp - Full-day day camp for Grades 8-9 that combines all the fun of Y day camp while cultivating personal growth, leadership skills and fostering teamwork.
- Camp Michikamau - Sleepaway camp for kids in Grades 3-10. Campers enjoy themed weekends and events, and daily activities like swimming, boating, and sports.
Camps are accredited by the American Camp Association. Financial assistance is available through the Y.
Child care after camp is available with day camps, for an additional fee.
This year, families who pay camp balances in full by Dec. 19 also receive $50 a week in Y Bucks to use toward other Y programs.
