Mayor and Council Approve Seasonal DPW Hire
Mark Hettinger re-hired as a seasonal employee in the DPW

After being rejected for a full-time position with the DPW, followed by his reinstatement as a seasonal employee being tabled, Mark Hettinger regained his seasonal employment status at Monday's mayor and council meeting.
With Council President Howard Berner voting "yes," the council carried enough votes to rehire Hettinger as a seasonal employee in the DPW from April 2 to September 30. His rate of pay is $15 per hour.
Subrizi told the council that with the DPW currently down by four full-time heads from last year, she doesn't want to see the recreation and fields negatively impacted by this shortage as the spring sports season begins.
