One absentee vote was not enough for Arthur Castronova to unseat incumbant Democratic County Committeeman Jimmy Drake in the hotly contested District 6 race. In the final count Drake received 32 votes and Castronova 27.  With the final count in, one vote was all it took for Barbara Drake to retain her seat as Democratic Committeewoman in District 6. Drake received 30 votes while her opponent, Jean Greenwald, received 29.  In the uncontested race for council, former Democratic Councilman Michael Putrino was the big winner with 374 votes. Councilman Austin Ashley, his runningmate, received 341.
