Reader's Choice: Who Does Your Last Minute Tax Returns?

This week, Reader's Choice takes a look at the Best Place To Do Your Taxes (at the last minute)

Even though the Internal Revenue Service extended the filing deadline for 2012 until April 17, time is quickly ticking away to submit your federal and state taxes. And if you happen to be one of the procrastinators waiting until the last minute, Reader's Choice wants to know where you will be going within the next two weeks.

Taxpayers will have until Tuesday, April 17, to file their tax returns because April 15 falls on a Sunday, and Emancipation Day, a holiday observed in the District of Columbia, falls this year on Monday, April 16. According to federal law, District of Columbia holidays impact tax deadlines in the same way that federal holidays do; therefore, all taxpayers will have two extra days to file this year.

While we came up with an initial list, we encourage you to post any businesses we missed that fit the “Readers' Choice: Best Places To Do Your Taxes (at the last minute)” category in the comments below.
