Weekend Cookie Sale to Benefit Deployed Troops
Daisy Scouts and Brownies adopt a troop in Afghanistan and want people to buy Girl Scout Cookies that they'll arrange to ship overseas.
Daisy Troop 4485 and Brownie Troop 60048 wanted to do something nice for the troops stationed in Afghanistan so they decided to adopt the 387th MP Company out of Fort Dix. One of the Daisy Scout's cousins belongs to this unit that has been deployed since December.
Like any good adoptive parents, they want to send a little taste of "home" to the troops stationed so far away. And nothing says "home" quite like a box of Girl Scout Cookies.
The girls will be out this weekend selling cookies in front of the Celtic Kitchen and are asking that people purchase a box or two for a soldier. Once they collect all of the donated boxes of cookies they will ship them over to the 387th.
