This Weekend in Union County: School of Rock to Host Former Guns n' Roses Guitarist, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Fundraiser

School of Rock Clark will welcome Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal of Guns n' Roses Aug. 22 and host a fundraiser for CCFA, Aug. 23.

School of Rock Clark will welcome Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, former guitarist for Guns n’ Roses, on Saturday, August 22 from noon to 4pm. On Sunday, August 23, the School will host a fundraiser for the Chron’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis, from 11am to 4pm. Both events will take place at the School’s new location on 1173 Raritan Road in Clark.

“After Joe Satriani recommended that Axl Rose choose ‘Bumblefoot’ as a guitarist for Guns n’ Roses, he played and recorded with the band from 2006 through 2014,” says Art Lima, Director of Operations for School of Rock Clark. “We’re thrilled that on Saturday, fans of all ages will get a chance to meet and jam with him. On Sunday, as part of our fundraising efforts on behalf of CCFA, young rockers and their parents who each donate $5 to the organization will get a 15 minute trial lesson on keyboards, vocals, drums, or guitar from our pro teaching staff. All in all, it’s going to be an amazing weekend of shredding on Saturday and supporting a deserving foundation on Sunday.”
