'Flapjacks & Fire Trucks' Come to Gerrard Berman Day School This Sunday

The day school is serving pancakes as a fundraiser for the 8th grade trip to Israel.

Hungry for pancakes? The Gerrard Berman Day School is hosting a 'Flapjacks and Fire Trucks' Pancake Breakfast this Sunday, Jan. 12, at the school on Spruce Street. The breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m.

The breakfast is a fundraiser for the school's 8th grade class, which is saving for a trip to Israel.

Chocolate, banana, blueberry, and plain pancakes are on the menu, along with orange juice and milk. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children, with youngsters under 5 admitted free. No family will pay more than $20, the organizers of the event said.

Fire, police, and ambulance staffers and their equipment will be available for tours and demonstrations from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Children from 3 to 8 are invited to ride the fire truck.
