The net school tax for 2013-14 voted on by the public totaled at $26,046,995. That is a 2 percent increase on the 2012-13 net school tax which was $25,536,270.

A prolific bank robber who graced the FBI's top ten most wanted list in the 1980s was captured by Waldwick police in Ridgewood following an Oakland bank heist Monday morning, according to police.
The TD Bank on Ramapo Valley Road was robbed before noon on Monday and Oakland K-8 schools were locked down for about 30 minutes in response to the incident.
