PHOTO: Media Swarm Oakland Home of Former Rutgers Athletic Director
About a dozen media organizations descended on Tim Pernetti's home following the news that he would likely be fired as the Athletic Director at Rutgers.

UPDATE, 1:45 p.m., Friday: Tim Pernetti has officially resigned. In a letter to Rutgers University President Robert Barchi, Pernetti blamed the university for overriding his decision to immediately fire Mike Rice.
As news broke early Friday that Rutgers Athletic Director Tim Pernetti is likely set to lose his job, reporters and other news organizations gathered at Pernetti's Oakland home.
While it's not clear if the embattled A.D. is inside his Hobby Lane home, the small dirt road outside became a staging ground for about a dozen reporters and media eager to get a statement from Pernetti.

Sources told ESPN and the Associated Press that Pernetti had been forced out as A.D. just days after video surfaced showing former men's basketball coach Mike Rice allegedly verbally and physically basketball players at the Division I program.
Rutgers University has not yet made an official announcement confirming or denying news of Pernetti's dismissal.
