2 Ocean City Donuts Are Among The Best In America

OCEAN CITY, NJ — If you're looking for a delicious sweet treat, you can't go wrong with a donut. These days, they're more than just fried dough - they come with a variety of fillings and toppings, too. And Ocean City is not just packed with great places to get donuts - it's home to some of the best in the country.

The staff at food website Tasting Table put together a list of the best donuts in the United States, stretching from coast to coast. Two local spots made it to the list.

One of the confections from Nauti Donuts, named by Yelp as one of the best donut shops in the country, made the cut. It's the Overboard! donut, a cake donut covered in chocolate icing and topped with bacon bits, a perfect combination of salty and sweet.

"It combines all of your favorite breakfast foods into one ideal bite, with the saltiness of the bacon bits cutting through the sweetness of the icing for the perfect pairing," Tasting Table wrote about this donut.

That's not the only local place - Fractured Prune, which also has locations in Maryland and Delaware, had one of their creations named one of the best as well.

Tasting Table picked their O.C. Sand as the best, a honey glazed donut topped with cinnamon sugar.

"It's a simple pleasure done well," Tasting Table said.
