OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Coral Sands Motel in Ocean City is set to be demolished, after officials approved a redevelopment plan there. Before that happens, though, a popular barbecue spot is opening another location on the property where Augie's Omelette and Waffle House used to be.

Buddy Love's BBQ, located on the Boardwalk, shared the news of their new location at 709 E. 9th St. in the Facebook group Ocean City NJ 08226.

They will be serving a breakfast buffet and a sit-down dinner. This is in addition to their existing location at 728 Boardwalk.

The Coral Sands Motel is slated to be demolished and replaced with a mixed-use building consisting of commercial space on the first floor and six residential units on the top two floors following planning board approval. However, a timeline for this was not shared.

The budget motel is still booking for the 2025 summer season and plans to reopen later this week.
