Cape Atlantic Beaches Outshine Others In New Top 10 List

JERSEY SHORE — Cape May and Atlantic County beaches are some of the best. And according to USA Today, seven of them are in the top 10 best beaches in the state, the news outlet announced Wednesday.

Based on nominations from an expert panel and voted into the top 10 by readers, the best beaches in New Jersey stretch from Asbury Park down to Cape May. But the list is primarily made up of beaches in the Cape Atlantic area.

The number one beach? That's the Wildwoods, according to USA Today readers. It's their second win in a row.

“The Wildwoods Beaches have been the backdrop to countless family memories for generations,” Ben Rose, Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement Development Authority Director of Marketing and Public Relations, said in a news release. “To be recognized by visitors across the region as the best beach in New Jersey for the second year in a row is a tremendous honor.”

Coming in second is Ocean City. That's followed by more local beaches - third is Atlantic City, fourth is Cape May and fifth is Sea Isle City. Then, eighth is Avalon and ninth is Brigantine.
