Child Dies, 2 Injured In Early Morning South Jersey Crash: Police
A 13-year-old was killed when a car crossed into the opposite lane of traffic to pass another vehicle, resulting in a crash, police said.
MIDDLE TWP., NJ — A 13-year-old was killed and two others were injured in an early morning crash in Middle Township on June 23, police said.
The crash happened at 4:45 a.m. on Court House-South Dennis Road (CR657) in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, police said.
A Mitsubishi Lancer was driving southbound when it crossed into the northbound lane to pass another vehicle, causing it to strike a Honda Accord, police said.

The Honda's driver, a 55-year-old man from Sewell, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division for treatment, while the 13-year-old also from Sewell was taken to Cooper Medical Center, where the child was pronounced dead, police said.
The Mitsubishi's driver, a 26-year-old man from Woodbine, was also taken to AtlantiCare for treatment.

Court House-South Dennis Road was closed for about five hours. The motor vehicle accident is still being investigated by the Middle Township Major Crimes Unit, and the Middle Township Accident Crash Unit.
