Donate Treats for Troops: Cookie Drive Is On
The local American Legion Auxiliary is collecting baked or bought cookies to ship overseas.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 524 of Ocean City is organizing a Cookie Drive (homemade or store-purchased) that started Oct. 14 and will continue through Nov. 14.Â
Anybody who would like to contribute can deliver cookies to:
- The Henry Knight Building at 12th Street and Haven Avenue in Ocean City between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
- The American Legion Post 524 at 3304 Bay Avenue on Wednesdays at lunch (noon to 1 p.m.) or at the Nov. 4 pancake breakfast 8 a.m. to noon.
Cookies will be distributed to our troops through the USO. The Auxiliary appreciates help with the project and also needs cookie tins that can be donated at the same drop-off points. Tins are required for shipping and to keep the cookies fresh.
