OCEAN CITY, NJ — Christmas will arrive early for donut lovers in Ocean City next month. The donut window at Browns Restaurant will reopen the weekend before Christmas from Dec. 17-20.

Though Browns Restaurant is closed for the season, they decided to reopen their donut window again this year right before the holidays. What started as a way to cheer people up last December has evolved into an annual tradition for the restaurant.

“We just started it last year during COVID because we felt like people needed something to look forward to because COVID was so hard on everybody,” said owner Melissa Brown. “We said ‘How can we make someone’s Christmas a little brighter?’”

“We didn’t plan it. It just happened and it worked out. We’re looking forward to it again,” she said.

The restaurant will only be selling donuts, sides of icing and merchandise through its donut window from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 110 Boardwalk in Ocean City.

“It’s a really fun thing,” Brown said. “My niece flies in and my nephews come. It’s like a family thing. That’s why I love it too.”
