Dredging Delays Won't Disrupt May 25 Beach Races
The inaugural StandUP4SEALS 'Get in the Fight' Beach Challenge will go on with only a small change in the course.

An obstacle race on the beach on May 25 will move to avoid continuing beach replenishment work on part of the original course.
The inaugural StandUP4SEALS 'Get in the Fight' Beach Challenge will include a two-mile beach run with five obstacles. The original course was planned to cover Fourth to 14th streets.
But Army Corps of Engineers work crews will still be working in the area approaching 14th Street. Weather and mechanical delays pushed the project past a Memorial Day Weekend deadline.

The modified course will now run between First Street and the Ocean City Music Pier at Moorlyn Terrace, according to Mike Vaules, one of the race organizers.
Two other events that are part of the Challenge — a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) relay in a box course that includes legs through the surf and a fun run for kids — will be unaffected by the beach work.
