The Tri State Basset Hound Rescue League, organizers of Doo Dah Parade Weekend’s Basset Hound Olympics, have decided to move the Olympics to Saturday, April 13, because of the threat of rain on Friday.
Friday's forecast calls for heavy rain, but Saturday is expected to be sunny with a high of 61 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
The popular event will be held after the Doo Dah Parade at Carey Stadium, the Ocean City High School football field at Sixth Street off the Boardwalk. The Rescue League holds a picnic in that area following the parade, which includes all bassets that have participated in the Boardwalk Waddle.
