Positively Fourth Street Cafe and Coffee Bar will host an open-microphone event on Wednesday evening, April 24.
The coffee house at the popular Ocean City cafe will invite the public to perform music or read poetry and prose.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and dinner, dessert, coffee and tea will be available. Performances will begin at 7 p.m. Guests who want to perform will be asked to sign in.

Since April is National Poetry Month, guests are invited to read a poem by one of America's poet laureates or participate in Poet Laureate Trivia. Bring your favorite poem to add to a "Poem-In-Your-Pocket" display.
The cafe is located at 400 Atlantic Avenue near Ocean City High School. For more information, call cafe owners John and Sharon at 609-399-8400. Emcees are Doug Otto and Bud Cole.

The open-mic performances are not weekly but are part of an occasional series of events at the Fourth Street Cafe. There is plenty of free on-street parking nearby. Admission is free.Â
