Tribute to Forgotten Veterans

The American Legion, Post 524 of Ocean City will host an April 25 ceremony to honor the memory of four Cape May County veterans who passed away — but whose remains have been left unclaimed at a local funeral home until now.

Post 524 and a number of dignitaries and fellow veterans will assemble at Veterans Memorial Park, Fifth Street and Wesley Avenue, at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, to pay tribute to their comrades.

Following the ceremony, the cremated remains of these veterans will be escorted from Ocean City to the Cape May County Veterans Memorial Cemetery for final interment.
