Cancellations and Continuations in Ocean City

Check to see if your event will be affected by the storm.

With an approaching hurricane threatening to cause major damage over three days between Sunday and Tuesday, event planners are beginning to announce postponements. Other events will go on as scheduled.

If you know of any other events that are on or off, please mention them in the comments section.

"A Family Reunion to Die For": The murder-mystery scheduled for Oct. 27 and 28 on the Ocean City Music Pier has been cancelled. The Ocean City Theatre Company hopes to reschedule, but, in the meantime, the public is invited to watch a dress rehearsal (for free) scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight (Friday, Oct. 26).

Fright Night: The benefit for Community Art Projects scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26, is still on.

Trick-or-Treat in the Downtown: Trick-or-treating scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. from Sixth to 11th streets on Asbury Avenue is still on.

Haunted House at City Hall: The attraction scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, has been cancelled.

Coffee With Cape May County Surrogate Candidate Sue Sheppard: The campaign event scheduled for Sunday morning has been cancelled.

Public schools on Monday and Tuesday: Public schools will be closed.

Saturday recreational soccer: The program scheduled for Saturday morning (Oct. 27) will still run as scheduled.

Other cancellations:

  • All Saturday evening recreation activities have been cancelled
  • Sunday Oct 28 Dune Grass Planting
  • Sunday Oct 28 Dog of the Year (rescheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4)
  • Sunday Oct 28 Upper Twp Trick or Trot 5K Run

The Ocean City Arts Center, Ocean City Aquatics and Fitness Center and the Ocean City Free Public Library will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. The Ocean City Historical Museum will be closed on Tuesday (normally closed on Monday).

Corson's Inlet State Park will close at noon Sunday.
