Fatal Taxi Crash In Atlantic City Under Investigation: Prosecutor

A fatal weekend taxi cab crash in Atlantic City is under investigation following a collision with a Tesla early Sunday, authorities said.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A fatal weekend taxi cab crash in Atlantic City is under investigation, according to the Atlantic City Prosecutor’s Office.

The crash took place on Sunday at around 3:40 a.m. at at the intersection of Arctic Avenue and N. Missouri Avenue, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.

An initial investigation from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Crash Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department revealed that a taxi and a Tesla collided at the intersection.

One of the taxi occupants, Almir Pachariz, a 49-year-old man from Yorktown Heights, N.Y., was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and three other passengers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Tesla was also transported to AtlantiCare for treatment of non- life-threatening injuries.
