Public Invited to Tour 14th Street Pier on Thursday
The Ocean City Fishing Club celebrates its centennial with its third open house of the summer on Aug. 22.

This summer’s third and final Open House at the Ocean City Fishing Club at 14th Street and the Boardwalk will take place 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22.
Club members are again encouraging anybody to visit and to bring non-perishable food, which will be donated to the Ocean City Ecumenical Council’s Community Food Cupboard.
The event will include guided tours to the end of the club’s 635-foot fishing pier.

Coinciding with Ocean City’s Family Night, the Open House is part of a year-long celebration of the fishing club’s 100th anniversary. Â
The oldest, continuously operating fishing club in the United States, OCFC is also hosting a three-day Centennial Surf Fishing Tournament for East Coast teams on October 17-19.
