Firefighter Rescues Cat Stuck In Tree In Jersey Shore Town

It sounds like a cliché - a Dennis Township firefighter helped get a cat out of a tree Wednesday morning.

DENNIS TWP., NJ — A firefighter getting a cat down from a tree sounds like such a cliché, but it really did happen Wednesday in Cape May County.

It was about 7:55 a.m. Aug. 6 when the Dennis Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to the 500 block of Woodbine Avenue in the Belleplain section of town, the fire department said.

A resident's cat had climbed high into a tree and couldn't get done, officials said.
