OCEAN CITY, NJ — Mother Nature made good on her promise of April showers this past weekend, soaking the state with some much-needed rain.
Cape May County was one such area that got drenched, with some areas getting more than 5 inches of rain.
According to the National Weather Service, Ocean City received 3.7 inches of rain in one area and 3.52 inches in another. This data is for the past 72 hours as of Monday morning.

Nearby, Sea Isle City got between 2.75 and 3.77 inches of rain, according to NWS data.
And Somers Point received between 4.07 and 4.25 inches of rain, the NWS said.

And more rain is in the forecast for the week, though not as much. According to AccuWeather, Ocean City can expect brief showers on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
