Letter to Editor: Romney's Energy Plans Would Lead Us in Wrong Direction

Dear Editor:

Mitt Romney talks a lot about how much he cares for this family and how with his business experience he will eradicate unemployment in this country. He also says he will rid us of our dependency on foreign oil since “we have all the energy we need right under our feet.”

Does this mean more accessible off-shore drilling rights? More fracking rights for gas? More coal burning?

Romney criticizes the efficacy and expense of creating clean energy. How expensive are oil spills? At least Obama is making an attempt in the right direction. I would rather bet on efforts that offer hope than on the continued pollution and death to everything on our planet.

What good is a job or any kind of health care plan if you can’t breathe our air or drink our water?
