Lieutenant Governor Visits Downtown Ocean City
Kim Guadagno encourages business owners recovering from Superstorm Sandy to call 855-SANDY-BZ.

While Gov. Chris Christie wrapped up a week-long series of boardwalk and beach visits along the Jersey Shore on Friday, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno visited Ocean City as part of a "Main Street" tour of beach towns.
Guadagno met Mayor Jay Gillian, Cape May County Freeholder Kristine Gabor, Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michele Gillian and Sea Oats children's clothing store owner Skip Tolomeo at Tolomeo's shop on Asbury Avenue at 11 a.m. Friday (Aug. 30)Â before she started a brief tour of Ocean City's downtown shopping district.
Guadagno listened to Tolomeo's tale of restoring his shop after Superstorm Sandy in October 2012, and she said the message of the day for business owners is "to not leave money on the table."
Now that the window for applying for Small Business Administration loans has closed, she encouraged owners affected by Sandy to call 1-855-SANDY-BZ to learn more about what funding and relief is available.
"We're inviting people to take another look," Guadagno said. "There's still funding available, and it's a little less onerous (than the SBA loan process)."
